Painting Groups in Seattle, WA (ie: the Eastside)

Hi!
I was wondering if there were painting groups around for Seattle\'s Eastside, Bellevue, Redmond, or nearby.
If there\'s not, would there be any interest in starting one?
My interests for a group are \"free-range,\" where there is no specific focus on one particular brand or genre of figure.
Hope to hear from y\'all soon!

I do not know of any in the the eastside, southside, westside, or northend. I live in the southend SeaTac area and would love to look in on a group. Any chance to improve my ability would be cool. I mainly paint Reaper, because I am poor. :D

I don\'t know of any painting groups on the eastide, either. I\'m in Seattle (Eastlake neighborhood), and there\'s not really any here, either.

I\'d be interested in maybe meeting up sometime, too, but right now my schedule is really packed, thanks to this being my next to last quarter in school. Might be able to do something around winter break, though...

Would there be interest in starting a club/group on the East Side?

Would there be interest in starting a group on the East Side? I may know of a venue that we could hang out and paint at (lots of discussion would be involved so I want to know ahead of time before I pursue it) if you\'re interested.
What days are good for you?
What are your interests? Painting only, do you game, yada yada...?
Would you be willing to talk to others outside of the group about painting and get them interested in it too? Give pointers? Etc?
I\'m just trying to solidify what we can bring to the venue, besides us buying an occasional paint bottle, that they\'ll allow us to gather there.

It would be great to get a group together once a week or so- I\'m about an hour drive away, but would be totally willing to make the trek out for a few hours worht of paiting with company :D I might be able to get one or two other people interested as well.

I think that I could do something a couple of time\'s a month like on Saturday\'s. As for travel time I live in South Seattle so travel to the eastside is not a problem. What is the venue that you would be looking at? I paint mainly for fun, but I do play D&D and Star Wars. I could see if a couple of people might be interested in occasinally showing up.

As I look into my crystal ball, I forsee a plan coming into fruition in the middle of the weekend.
Sorry for the delay in information to you guys, its been the month to end all months in work-land for me lately. But the cloud of chaos has cleared, allowing me to gather information again! Woo-hoo!
:D

Days of Availability

Some questions just popped into my head; I\'d rather be prepared than not so:
-Just in case Saturdays are too busy for the store (meaning no tables) what are some other days you may be available?
-Also, what times are best for y\'all? Maybe if it\'s too busy in the mornings, an afternoon might be available? Or vice-versa...

Not a gamer - just a painter
Work until get home @ 6:30 Monday through Saturday. Busy on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

I think Monday nights usually work the best for me.

A Venue and Information

Alrighty! I visited Genesis Games & Gizmos (3G for short) in Redmond and they\'re cool with us coming by.
The floorspace is huge & they\'ve got a strong mini-games environment.
Saturdays are cool to come in, except for the 2nd Saturday of each month, there\'s a huge tournament for one of the games that takes up every table. I went in at about 3:00 and there were some open tables.
Sundays are also good, if not better; and if I recall the conversation correctly, there\'s no scheduling interruptions if we wanted to meet more than twice a month.
The guys I\'ve talked to seem really really nice, and they carry a nice assortment of Confrontation, GW figures (except LOTR for some reason), and Reaper. They\'ve got Vallejo Game & Model paints & GW paints & some basic supplies.
They are located in the Bella Botega shopping center in Redmond and their number is 425-497-9579 if you want to find out more about them or stop by yourself.
I\'ll stop rambling on and on so you guys can read it. To sum up, I\'m sold on trying this place out for our group.
:)
