painting high elf silver helms

Hi, I started painting warhammer figures not too long ago, and recently purchased a few sets of high elf silver helms. But since I\'m a beginner, I\'m not sure exactly how to paint horses, plus, I\'ve no idea on what type of scheme that would go best for my high elf army. Perhaps you guys could offer me some tips to paint horses, and the kinds of shades/paints I should apply/use. Thanks

I\'d say that you should begin with the basic scheme..

Blue-white-silver. And remember: Undercoat! It\'s up to you which colour you want, but for a beginner, I would recommend black. White is a bit tricky to paint on when you\'re new, since you need to know how to blackline. Hope this helps!

I prefer not to go with the basics. Find 2 colors you think go well together and use them. Black and white might be cool. Maybe Purple and yellow or Green and white. Whatever you like. My HEs are rainbow colored but that\'s a bit too much work if you\'re just starting out.

As for horses, do you want them all the same? If so, I suggest greys with dappling, but for ease you could use nice orangy-brown to dark rust. Mix them up by giving various white feet (1 on one horse, another with 3 etc.) Rule of thumb. If the hair on the foot is dark, the hoof will be dark brown, almost black. If the hair on the foot is light, the hoof will be cream to grey, possibly striped vertically.
