I need to learn how to paint horns/teeth better. Can anyone supply me a tutorial on the technique or explain it to me? Thanks

Do you want to paint pristine Hollywood gnashers or rotting Nurgle stumps...?

Either way, don\'t use straight white! It\'s too glaring - even for Hollywood!
Use bleached bone/ivory :)

My way of painting teeth is.
Snake bite leather
Mix SBL with Bleach Bone.
More BB
Straight BB
Maybe some white relection spots then depending on how dirty I want them do a wash of yellow or green.

White Dwarf had a couple of tutorials recently that had these in I will try and dig them up..
I generally start with Scrched Brown and Black blend in first Graveyard earth then bleached bone working towards the tips of the horns. Then Paint thin lines with the original mix near the base..

Colours can vary a lot some people use greys..some bronzed flesh instead of GE.some snakebite leather etc etc..The choices are numerous the method pretty much stays the same...

Take a look at a dog\'s claws. Look at how the claw is darker towards the toe, and lighter towards the end. Also notice the streaking. The basic colouring might be blended from dark to light, but the streaks are quite well defined. Go and take a look at the real thing, enlightment guaranteed.

And yep, what demonherald said, whatever you\'re painting, claws/teeth/horns, the method is the same, you only change the colours.

Remember when painting realistic-looking horns, they are ivory at the base, and fade to dark at the tips. Not the other way around. Look at pictures of bison or bull\'s for reference. Yes it\'s easier to paint horns with a dark base, but it looks wierd.

oops I meant that just read my post and it\'s the other way round..
Mind you sometimes it works better the other way round on minis......

Yup, and sometimes all black/brown/white/pink? works too. For teef, DH\'s method is spot on. Horns (like demon horns) look goofy to me (mind you, I\'m one of many, so paint what works best for you) when they\'re painted like teef.
