Painting lessons learned?

Lessons learnt.
1. Pin everything and I mean everything, if possible pin it twice. If I could I would pin the pin.
2. Always carefully put the paint pot lids on.
3. Always lick my brush... it makes the painting easier.
4. Always put my mini on the base before its ready, guaranteed to make the finishing off harder. I seem to like this one.
5. Ask for peoples opinions but never listen and still fumble about in my own way.

Never admit to making any mistakes 
But if I did.. Well then if the paint wont come out of the tiny hole on a Vallejo bottle, squeezing REALLY hard wont make it work..well actually it does you just tend to get way more paint than you bargained for.. lol

Never get impatient while blending and decide \"oh I\'ll just kick it up a few shades, this is taking to long\".

Remember that things like work, your partner and family and your social life, (probably in that orderlol) are just as important as perfecting your blending, or finishing that last squad off. Balance is the key in all things

Rofl not true at all, all the above should understand that the perfect blending technique you just developed is far more than them, your partner especially should be waiting semi-naked on the bed for you to finish

That would be Wen but she\'s already taken by the viking and he doesn\'t paint. Doesn\'t even play any of our games. He\'s a jock. Such a waste. Oh well, she invites me over from time to time and cleans my water and feeds me and ooos and ahhhs over my lame table top stuff so I guess it\'s all good.

If you are going to use an X-acto knife to sculpt texture on a mini, never NEVER lick the blade so the gs doesn\'t stick to it!!

Slippage ruins the mini, splashes the paint, and makes a double mess.
2: Never ask my wife her opinion on a piece. She always has one, and I always
disagree with it.
3: Never discuss the safe storage of paints and miniatures with someone that
wants that shelf space for DVD\'s.
4: Never, ever, EVER prime your minis near your computer monitor. It\'s a royal
pain to get paint off of an LCD screen.
5: Use Testor\'s Dullcote outdoors. Unless you want to be slightly stoned for the
rest of the day.
6: Never start a tickle fight right before doing your darklining.
7: Learn to ignore budgies that like landing on your head or shoulder.
