Painting Like Cyril?

So I\'ve been thingking lately. How does Cyril Abati do it? How do you think he does it?
Maybe Cyril will chime in with some advice.

Like I said in anothe thread, Cyril once told me a little about his style: work with watered down paint, make up a mix every time, don\'t use old mixed paint, and he uses GW (may only be for skin).

On Confederation du Dragon Rouge (link on every CMON page while viewing minis) he submits a few notes in French. Not sure if that\'s the same Cyril, because I don\'t know how common a name that is.

Indeed Cyril is a great and experienced painter ! And while I\'d love to be able to paint like Cyril I know this will never happen. So I guess all I can do is make sure I always do the best I can and work on developing my own style. Of course theres nothing wrong with trying to emulate the styles of others and draw inspiration from your heroes...Play Hard

I just want to talk to the guy about his colour theory.

It\'s the most remarkable aspect of his painting. The use of complimentary and contrasting colours is fantastic.
