Painting marble

Man thats a great result and a simple technic. Mayby I\'ll try it out on some voluntare from my Chaos Army :]

Wow, that effect looks absolutely terrific on weapon handlebars. Why is green marble so popular? I imagine variations of white/grey/black would look just as good.

I think a lot of time it\'s a good contrast colour .....something like that there chaplain is predominantly black so guess it wouldn\'t quite look right with a black shade... A green armoured model with white armour could look sweet.

Not quite marble, because I didn\'t paint on striations of an additional semi-translucent color, but I think the stone tiles themself looks like marble and soapstone... which is pretty much the effect I was going for.
