Painting Marble?

Hiya guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any good ideas, tutorials or techniques for painting marble?

am doing some marble and would like a good idea how other people paint it before i have a bash

When I was younger my mom used to do a bit of Faux Finish painting. I\'ve often thought a lot of the techniques she used could be used in painting mini\'s that first reply there is doing just that. Do a quick google on the subject and you\'ll find tons of useful tutorials and examples all over the web. I think for the most part it would be tough to pull off on figures but for vehicles and diorama purposes I think it\'d turn up some useful stuff. first random good result

Abaroth has some tutorials on painting different colors of marble. They turn out pretty well.

thanks for the advice guys, tried quite a few of the techniques and managed to create my own

wot do u guys think?

ideally id like somethin alot darker for wot am doin but i think that looks quite good

Very nice indeed! I\'ve got some things in the Idea Vault (for the far-flung future) that could use marble finish, and when the time finally comes, I only hope mine comes out looking that good.
