Allright, we all agreed that the couple painting that baseball day in day out are out of their mind, but you really have to check out the following: http://www.surfwiz.com/paintedrocks.htm.

This is real art IMO. The trout and swiss knife are my favorites. It\'s also quite expensive

Stuff that! I can easily paint to that level and I am not even gonna bother painting minis if I can sell a painted stone for best part of $200:|~

*EDIT* You are quite right about the trout and Swiss Army knife, they do have a certain something, as does the jacket, but they are still stupidly priced

I saw something like that before, some women in the country that painted animals on rocks, usually cats curled up. I guess some of us could make a lot of money if we did things like that... but the price usually reflects how \"artsy\" it is, i.e, if it was a red dot on a 12\' wide canvas, it\'d sell for $1000!

I dunno. The rocks are interesting enough I suppose. I look at them and think \"hmph, overpriced paperweight/doorstop\".

Though, the curled up sock might be good as a practical joke; in a teen\'s bedroom for mom to find... like fake dog doo

Art in the Park

Locally here in Windsor we have a yearly art show called art in the park....

For the last two years there has been a man there who sells \"art in nature\"... he finds rocks, logs, leaves etc. that have pictures already in them. (well kinda in them, you know like the potato that looks like George Bush kinda thing) He then takes a fine tipped pen and traces it out so all can see what he sees in the object. Man this is harder to describe than I though... it is actaully rather awesome stuff... trying to find a web link but no luck.. should have grabbed a buisness card this past year.
