Painting Space Marine Veteran

Greetings! I have been to several GamesDay competitions, and I am going to paint a Space Marine Veteran (metal, power axe + bolt pistol & banner). This model will be for practice, so it will be sold on eBay. I was wondering if you had any suggestions for which chapter this one should be. Any additional suggestions, such as veteran markings, helmet color vs. armor color, etc., are appreciated. If you would personally be interested in such a piece, please include your requests.

I will not be doing extensive converting or base work, as I prefer to keep my pieces as functional as they are beautiful. Thanks for your help!

Calm down brassangel. You waited a big 2 hours for people to respond... heck, most people don\'t check the boards every two hours and many could be sleeping (we come from all around the globe here). Well, i\'d say the new Blood Ravens, or the Ultramarines would be your best bet to sell high on Ebay. Hope that helps.

I apologize for my apparent impatience. I am also involved in several sports forums where you blink and there are twelve replies. This is a little slower than what I am used to. Nonetheless, thanks for your help. Keep it coming!

Whew! For a while there the Blood Ravens and Ultrasmurfs were in a dead heat. Now the Black Templars have come out of nowehere to catch up. :wow:

I think that this is enough information for now to start painting him blue. I appreciate your input and I\'ll keep checking back as long as people are polling though. Thanks!

I voted for the Black Templars because they\'re the ones comming out now. So I\'d imagine they\'ll sell best until the new smurf army is released. Ultra\'s are probably always a safe bet as well as has been said. Because they\'re so widely collected.

Crimson fists are one of my favourite Space Marine armys
They are beautiful mini\'s indeed, when painted as CF!

Ultramarines are best on ebay, but if its for practice think to yourself \"which one would be the hardest?\" and pick that one - challenge yourself :D
