james and a couple of others have asked me to give a brief run down of how i did the skin on my predator of blood.
all paints are vallejo
here goes, base coat of cold grey.
then do the hands/feet and snout with a mix of cold grey/sombre grey and black.
then start adding washes to the skin with browns to create depth and the feeling of dirt.
to highlight the use cold grey with increasing amounts of stonewall grey then silver grey to bring out the highlight.
for the hands/feet and snout add stonewall grey to the sombre grey/cold grey/black mix.
give the mini a black glaze and then touch up highlight.
i use a lot of feathering when painting larger minis as this helps to keep it smoother.
