Painting workshops in San Diego?

Does anyone know of any painting workshops in the San Diego area?

I\'m a newbie painter and feel that I\'m just barely beyond the beginning level (i.e., washes and drybrushing). I\'d like to learn from someone who knows, to get a little bump to the next level.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

hmmmmm...... game empire might hold something like that or at least have good painters on hand. i always enjoy walking by thier display cases and admiring hundreds of minis. wouldnt hurt to ask the people working there.

dwarf mountain use to let you just walk in, sit down and paint and work at a table and you could chat it up with the owners but since GW pulled thier unspeakable evil (GW evil or not thred BME post) dwarf mountain went under.

theres game towne (two locations that i know of). the one in old town ive seen hosting bloodbowl and spacemarines game, might give them a call or something, they may have a odd paint day here or there.

outside of that i know many places cattered through LA hold painting sessions, when i visit family up there i always try to get out and visit comic shops or rpg shops.

another place is the wizards of the coast store in mission valley mall (right in front of the theater). but they seem way more into business and games although they have tons of tables so they might host something.

id just call any of these places, i think game empire is your best bet for hooking up as everytime im there its always packed full of gamers from about 6pm-11pm. and is the best rpg shop in SD (i think....)
