paintRack?

Has anyone here heard of/used this app? I just found out about it today and so far I love it. I have just finished scanning in my paint pots and realize I have several of the same color (some intentionally, some not

)...my memory isn't great and when I go to my FLGS and pick up paints I usually can't remember if I have a certain color or not...this app allows you to scan in your pots (they actually have 18 different manufacturers that you can keep track of) and add however many you have, and when you're at said FLGS, you can quickly scan and find out if you've already picked this one up or not...it's made by couragiousoctopus o.0

So far I think it's just for Android (sorry iOS users!) and its $2.99 but to help me keep track and not have to remember a paper list, it's worth it!

I do. Nice idea, but I never seem to use it. This may be that I have a small paint collection though so it's easy to keep track of. I think there's a free demo version to trial as well

I discovered it through a comment made by a user in these forums.
I use it to keep track of the paint pots, but mainly for colour comparisons and for saving colour combos and mixes in the "sets" menu. (started using it two or three weeks ago)
It compares colours from almost all "big" brands, which I think it's the most useful part of the app. (Citadel, P3, Reaper, Vallejo (mc, gc, ma, panzer aces), Warpaints, Tamiya, Scale75 (their three ranges), coat d'arms, Citadel classic, warcolours, Andrea color, Battlefront, Akinteractive, Abteilung502, Revell, and garage kits)
Gives you complementary / analoguous / triads and matches colours from one brand to the others. I am still trying everything and as I only own one brand (sc75) and some pots from vallejo and GW I cannot state how accurate it is.

This is Scott, one of the developers from Courageous Octopus, just saying hello! LOL, It is funny to hear people are using paintRack for the EXACT reason I came up with the idea... i kept purchasing duplicate paints!

We try our best to keep the application updated, and we VERY much appreciate if can people send us missing paint info. (paint name, picture of barcode, etc.)
