What do people prefer, what are the pro\'s and con\'s of each.

At the moment i\'m using GW but tempted by Foundry.

If you do a search on the forum you will see that this has been discussed MANY times. There\'s a serach button just under the CMON logo.

The general concensus is \"To each his own\" Everyone has their own preferance.

Personally I prefer anything in better containers then GW as I am sick of my paints drying up.

Edit: just noticed it\'s your first post. Welcome to the forums!

Thanks will search away.

On a newer topic that people might not have discussed, has anyone tried the GW foundation paints that are due out, i hear they have a higher pigment content.

There are a lot of people who use all three type of paints. (me included).
I prefer using Vallejo but I haven\'t thrown out my GW colours or the Foundry ones either. Plus I\'ve a great set of the Reaper colours as well. I\'ve got Artist Acrylics as well as some watercolors which get used, so there is no ONE Single Perfect range of paints.

Well they are just as easy to use as GW\'s and due to the proper bottles last longer without drying out.

Hi Kaine,
I\'ve used all three, and I think foundry flesh colours are great, but are thick so they need watering down.
GW are good basic paints,
Vallejo, well I\'ve just started using them and wow, what a difference, but its all down to personal preference, I looked at your gallery but there\'s no examples of your painting, however, my advice get some vallejo, they need shaking a lot, and the tips of the pots looking after, also get yourself a good Windsor & newton series 7 brush or two, and a wet pallette, you can make this.
Good luck and happy painting
:D
