hi all during my continued foray into confounded glazing, ive been trying with this tehcnique:4drops of water on the pallete, aded to about of darkangels green, then as much matt medium as the paint added. ive noticed that when this dries, there a loads of little paint bubbles on the pallete\'s surface. out of interest, anybody know whats causing them?

if you\'re trying to make a glaze your water to paint ratio should be in the region of 12:1
you only need to dip your brush in the matt medium otherwise you start \"thickening\" the glaze again
remember, it\'s a glaze, so you\'re trying to use the minimum amount of paint you can get away with, and still have enough pigment in the solution to do the job you want
there is a good glazing article over at Brushthralls, should give you more insight into what you are trying to achieve
