The latest release from Studio McVey. JAG has sculpted this one and it as a real pleasure to paint as are all his sculpts. I have no idea how he sculpted the Wood Sprites though. They are TINY but they both have facial features which were too small to paint properly.
We'll probably be doing another tutorial over the coming weeks on him so if anyone has any suggestions on subject???

Comments/ criticisms welcome as always.

That demon creature's face is seriously disturbing. Looks like an awsome sculpt..I may get it!

Poor fairy is gonna get cut though ;)

I like that a lot! very well done.

The little fairy reminds me of a girl I used to see around at college, maybe it is her? :)

wow, this is nice.

Reminds me of the other pan miniature, from the pan's labyrinth movie...would go really nice with this one...anyone know who made that one? I'm buying this, and then I'm ordering that one as well.

Can you ever paint anything badly?

Had some one described this to me I don't think I'd have been all that bothered, BUT having seen this image, the whole figure is really impressive.
Pan's face shows a form of Sympathy/Gentility I've never seen in a miniature before.
Excellent Sculpt given a superb and sympathetic paintjob.

Anyone know the one I was talking about?

PS: I commented on it. Great work.

Awesome model and Awesome paint job. He may be looking sympathetic (which is incredible job) but he is still reaching for his sickle....poor poor little fairy...Munch! :) Great model, Great paint job!

Hi Elthar, I hadn't read the hand on sickle as a threatening move, just that he was holding it up so as not to stick himself in the back of the leg while bending down to look at the sprites. I wonder how long 'till we see a version painted up with blood everywhere & half-munched faeries laid on the ground! Cheers, B.

Suggestion of tutorial ?
...er...

May be "How to paint ears of a fairy" ? ;oDDD

Seriously, a very good painting job of the studio, as usual... and this sculpting job is just awesome too.

Do you both come back in France to the Mix-open this year ? ;)

Advice! er yes, keep painting. ;)

This is an excellent paintjob, on an outstanding mini. Took delivery of mine the other day, the detail is outstanding.
