Can somebody please justify this:

Seriously, what is the point?

The epitome of the idle rich....

To tell you the truth, I\'m not sure what is more sad, the fact this guy can waste monumental sums of money...or the fact that this qualifies as news...

Um, the point is to flagrantly parade your wealth with pointless displays of excess?

Traditionally the \"old money\" looked down on the \"nouveau riche\" for acting like this - of course they didn\'t realize they were doing the same thing most of the time, they just had polite euphemisms for it.

I have to agree. More reasons to dislike the guy  Did anyone else catch the show where he didn\'t win an award and threw an on-stage tantrum?

These news channels have 24hrs to fill up, some of it is bound to be crap. And just to the right of the story is a vid link \"i was shocked and surprised\' its an interview with the Restaurant manager.

@Freakinacage, what he ordered can be bought in restaurant for £11.00 (Obviously not 4ft long though, just a single portion)

And he didin\'t pay for the transport, it was all done by the record companies.

No, I didn\'t see that..but I wouldn\'t be surprised if that was a calculated move....Probably gets much better press to \'kick up\' his bad boy attitude.

I really wish the general population would wake up and stop making demi-gods out of celebrities...

when the record company pays for something, it always comes out of the artists royalties.

record companies don\'t pay for shit.

I think it would be funny if Customs and the Department of Agriculture seized the fish at customs.. heck they took some opened cookie away from me on a return flight.. this is a frigging 5 ft long fish.

I doubt he thinks about the results of his actions, despite this one (which tops all of his previous misadventures).

When I worked in a museum, we had an Egyptian exhibit from the Leiden Museum in the Netherlands on display. We had to get a permit from the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife for a crocodile. The reaason: The crocodile is an endangered species. I\'ll say, the one we had was 3000 years old and mummified. Govt. and common sense don\'t mix well.

Wow and the army doesnt have the money to buy body armour, boots and ammo for its soldiers. What a world...

This is more media hype. I have friends on the ground in Iraq. They have received thousands of new armored Humvees (not the up-armored versions, the new designs) over the last two years. They have the body armor as well. The problem is politicians who have never been in the infantry think that infantrymen want to wear bodyarmor in 100 degree heat. When an infantryman is seen without his bodyarmor then it adds to the legend that troops don\'t have what they need.

Here\'s a quote from the NY Sun:

\"The total military dead in the Iraq war between 2003 and this month stands at about 3,133.....What is never compared is the number of military deaths during the Clinton administration: 1,245 in 1993; 1,109 in 1994; 1,055 in 1995; 1,008 in 1996. That\'s 4,417 deaths in peacetime ...LINK
