Per the Reaper Zombie Werewolf: a big hunk of lead

Ok, so I took this guy out of his pack because I am finishing up (or at least done as much painting as I want to right now) with my lizardman, and I have been itching to paint this Werewolf. For those not familiar with the miniature, it is an undead werewolf holding a skeleton in one hand. He has a lot of exposed muscle and bone and I am really excited about starting him.

Now, the problem lies in two areas I found when cleaning him: Just behind the skeleton\'s head where the werewolf\'s hand meets, is this big lump of pewter that fills the gap. What do I do with this?! It is too big to paint and fit with either the front of the hand or the back of the head.

Next, the wolf\'s left eye seems to be missing. I don\'t know if this is part of the mini or something wrong from the mold, but it looks like it got covered up.

Anyone else have these kinds of problems with their mini and if so what do you do about them? Particularly the gloppy bits that fill in voids like behind the skeleton\'s head in this case. The eye I can deal with when I paint it.

Get a pin vice to drill out the eye socket, if that is the look you are going for, and use needle files to remove the offending chunk of metal behind the skull. Resculpt any damaged details with putty.

Fast and easy.

Hmmm... well the eye is doable like that, but its mate is a raised eye, but I could work with that.

I will try filing out the bit behind the head, but it is cupped between the head and the hand holding it. I don\'t work with putty yet. I wonder, would a solder gun melt it out if I pick at it real slow?
