The only thing I saw was rain drops falling in my eyes Meteors my arse:D.
I was hoping to see something as being on nights I had all night to look but clouds as far as I could see:(

Aw, forgot as well. Was planning to look when I took the puppy out during the night but the wife decided she\'d be on potty duty.

Doubt she even looked up. Oh well.

In between watching the sky and my very straight laced, nice grandmotherly neighbor try to stagger drunkenly into her house I saw one shooting star. Medium, left a smoke trail (plasma?) which faded rather quickly.

The Leonid shower is coming up in November (?).

i couldn\'t have seen them even if it wasn\'t raining. i was at work last night, and the shipyard lights blot out everything in the night sky but the moon. rats.

Target sighted!

Being that I\'m in the middle of the flippin\' desert in Iraq, there isn\'t a whole lot of light to blot things out, as above.

Since I work the night shift, I managed to steal a break from getting cancer of the eyes by staring at computer screens all night, to take a jog outside to watch.

I didn\'t count many, but the few that I saw were damned long, almost going from midline to horizon with each streak.

T\'was beautiful, until about 15 minutes into it I heard the dull -crump- of a mortar round impacting someplace nearby, and went scrambling for cover.

Ahh, another day in paradise. :p

I spent about 30 min. last night and the night before and saw about a dozen total, for both nights. Seemed like a much ado about nothing as the news (both regular and scince based) were making quite the noise about it.

This was viewed from Central Minnesota between 10:00 and 11am for those so inclined to know. ( I know serious stargazers care about those kinda things :)

My In-laws were in town so the four of us went out on the back porch with pillows and lay out for about 45 minutes. Saw a couple that were pretty darned impressive! Worth staying up for, in Colorado anyway...
