Hey cmon community,
I'm looking for advice, how to improve my minis. My latest work, was not accepted as I had hoped. I know, I have big reserves but I need to take new direction and push to move forward.

I will be glad for any advice! Thank you.

That is a pretty solid mini. I think people just have something against the Grey Knights. You're close to an 8 and it's not even on a display base, that's actually a very good score :)

Really nice mini. From my perspective i think you can get more depth from the metal areas by using some additional colours in the shading (it could be the photos but it looks heavily focused on blue shadows). Take a look at the work of sprocket (using oranges and blues) and skellette (ever more glazes to produce a darker feeling mini). This will also help add additional depth, for example, defining the different sections on the shoulder pads.

Just my two cents worth - you are already well on the way.

Thank you both.
The small recap:
- don't paint Grey Knights models :)(I hope, my next model, Dragon Slayer will be more popular)
- make display base
- more shade, colors and contrast to metalics

Anything else to focus on?

What do you mean when you say that your work was not accepted..?

Anyhow, the paintjob is very good! I, too, think that the metals could use more contrast and color variation.
Also, i can spot some minor rough transitions in the white areas, but overall this is a striking miniature.

..don't mind the score. :)

Thanks, your comments leads me to make WIP topic on this forum. All of you are welcome there!
Sorry for my English, but Dragonsreach are right, maybe I have too high expectations. Thanks a lot. :)

Sorry for my English...... :)
Do not apologise, its fine and totally comprehensible and far better than some of the people I work with.
We're an international community and thanks to that I've picked up a little Italian (don't tell my wife..) and Little Spanish to add to my meager French.
