Personal tragedy

Sorry to hear of your loss

Nothing of real comfort for any of us to say other than we we feel your pain.

Lost my 22 month old son and both my parents during a 16 month span in the early 90\'s. All I can say is that it is the natural order of things to bury your parents. Anything else sucks worse....

Extremely hard to lose someone who you were laughing with the day before....but everyone knows someone whose last words with a parent were said in anger or hurtfulness. Later on..maybe much later...you will be able to remember that last day fondly....that is our hope for you.

Time distills and sweetens your very best memories.

Thanks for reaching out to the virtual family......

I\'m so sorry to hear about your loss, especially the suddenness of it. Personally, I\'ve never lost any close family members yet *knock on wood* so I don\'t know what that\'s like but I dread the day when it happens.

My deepest sympathies.

Yesterday morning, Saturday, my father passed away...We are all devastated...it would help me through this very tough time.
I understand your pain, as I lost my father this last tuesday myself. It was no surprise, as he had long suffered from heart problems, and had been hospitalised this last month. Courage --we all have to face this at some point in our lives, and life goes on.

You have all my condolences and sympathies.

I echo the words mentioned above - having had close family members who have suffered for weeks (and months in some instances) you come to understand their passing as a blessed relief. I know your fathers passing was extremely sudden, but he enjoyed good health and had a wonderful time with his family right up to the end and those are the thoughts you will remember when you are ready.

My thoughts are with you from across the pond.

The loss of a father is particularly hard on a son. I was in college when my father died and I have to say that no matter how expected it is, you can never be fully prepared for it. I was greatly consoled by the fact that years later we still haven\'t managed to clean up his junk. The man was a packrat and seeing the material mark he left reminded me of the more lasting mark he made on my life and how he will never truly be gone as long as I remember.

I\'m with Duende on this, in that I have yet to lose somebody close...so I know when it happens, I\'m going to be a basket case.

My thoughts and prayers are on the way.

Now I\'m all sniffley...:(

My deepest, sincerest sympathies for you and your family, Mark. Having just gone through that earlier this year, I know the pain it can cause. Even though it was somewhat expected with my father, it doesn\'t make it any easier. Unexpected, it has to be devasting. I have no great words of comfort - I\'m not sure tehre really are any. All I can say is that know there are those of us out there who truly do care. I will keep you & your family in my thoughts. Hang in there.

Normally I hate \"me too\" posts, but in this case ... it\'s important.

I add both my prayers and my sympathies to you and your family and for the repose of your father.

I never feel that I have the right words for something as devastating as this, But for what little comfort I can offer, my thoughts are with you.

In time it will be easier to remember the laughter you shared, than the loss.

My sympathies to you and your family Markus. My uncle passed away last week too, unexpectedly for me as I didn\'t know he was ill.

Take the time to remember all of the goodness that your Father possessed. Let the tears come when they need to and keep your family close. May your family be blessed with peace during this time of sadness. My prayers are with you and your family.
