Do you do much editing of your images? Gimp or Photoshop (or Aperture, Lightroom etc) is a must I reckon.
They could all use some tweaks in contrast and some sharpening. Some of the macro and bird shots look to have a bit of camera shake in them - inevitable when hand holding at silly mm even with IS. A tripod or monopod would be beneficial. I\'d try cropping in on some of the birds as well.
I\'d also consider converting some to black and white and really ragging around the contrast to see what you come up with. Similar to mini painting, it\'s about trying to find techniques to make stuff pop.

An example of what a quick tweak in contrast and some sharpening can do. Only other tweaks were toning and adding a bit of vignetting:
If the tiny web version comes up that well, the original has plenty of potential I\'m sure. Try extreme compositional crops as well - lots of creative opportunities there.

@Scott - been doing most of the tweaking with the sw that came with the cam - am still learning it and am sticking with the basics at the moment - and I know that they need work, especially some of the bird shots needing tighter crops, and a contrast control system that you dont have to be able to read Korenglish stereo instructions to figure out. This is one of the reasons I\'m anal about keeping everything I shoot - for rework once I figure out whats going on. Tripod is on the list for this next pay check, although I have to admit the thought of dragging one around while chasing 4 in birds does not make me jump with joy.

Another edit (couldn\'t resist lol )- which took about 3 mins, so, like Scott said, a decent pic to begin with. If you are chasing birds around and need to be quick and mobile with your gear - maybe a decent monopod would be more suitable than a tripod (cheaper too 
)

Yeah, I\'m not a fan of lugging a tripod around. Monopods are much cheaper, more compact and far lighter.
