Photoshop editing

Just wanted to know if the only way you can put a lot of pictures together, like this http://www.coolminiornot.com/114486
is photoshop? Or is there any other way?

There\'s a free one called GIMP.

GIMP is free and can do most (if not all) of the functions that the rather expensive photoshop can.

So I´ve been trying to get the gimp program to do as I want but its very difficult, could anybody help me? what I want to do is to put 3 pictures in a frame with a white background and some letters on the top..
