Photoshop question

Okay, this isn\'t mini related but I know there\'s a few people here who know a lot about photoshop...

I\'m trying to produce artwork for a card that I\'m having printed. I\'ve done the template and layout in Freehand and have had to scan an image into Photoshop. The RGB colours look fine (and when printed look fine too). The problem arises now I\'ve converted the image into CMYK. It looks okay in Photoshop - very little change to the colour etc... but when I import the file (saved as a TIFF) into Freehand, the colours are quite different - some are darker, some are brighter - they also print closer to the Freehand version. My problem is, which software do I trust? Do I need to callibrate something. Any help would be gratefully received and will stop me from chewing the table again gggrrrr!
