Those aren\'t minis, they\'re \"pewter collectibles\" ;)
Nice of your dad to let you paint them.

WOTC did metal Star Wars minis for a short while but they\'re now OOP. They\'re doing prepainted plastic for the new Star Wars game, similar to the plastic D&D minis.

If you do a search for Star Wars minis on CMON, you get about 12 images, and most of them are conversions! :D

This has really convinced me to collect a Warhammer Goblin army. These models would be great in a Wolf Riders group.

Although I think I may wait for the upcoming Ogres and Wood Elves army releases before deciding on what army I am to collect, if I do collect one that is.

shadowforge miniatures

These have great dwarfs and excellent centerpiece mini\'s like kings etc...
West Wind miniatures

*edit*
Almost forgot retour des dieux, excellent French company selling Fantasy Resin figures. Including the ones from Chronicles of the Black moon strips.

Looks like you\'ve never drank a beer in Belgium, have you? ;)

209+ different beers (not counting sub-species and season flavours), mate, that for a country with only 10 million inhabitants :D

actually my favorite company is GW, cause the quality of Goodwin, Nelson and Diaz models and this unic univers (40k so far). but if we speak about technical quality I must say Ilyad Games, the models sculpted by Thomas David and Jacques-Alexandre Gillois. look at the armour of some warriors, i\'am waiting for the next Chaomorphes champion (available in 2 weeks for \"le monde du jeu\" in Paris) just awesome. so fine detailed models.
rackham is now in my opinion a good mini company, but not excellent.

It\'d take me two or three days to get through all of those.... lollol

I will definately have to put a trip to Belgium on my \'wish list\'....(not just for the beer!)

lol

I think it depends on what type of models you are interested in. When it comes to humans and \"human looking\" models I think Rackham\'s quality has increased. I\'m not so sure, however, about the other types of minis, goblins, orcs, mid-nor and regular dwarves etc.

in my opinion, a large part of Rackham humans has anatomical problems (especially females mini) really thin, long legs. ridiculous compared with Tom Meier \'s models for exemple.

I see your point...

... when it comes to Rackhams females. I don\'t paint many of those because of the issues you pointed out and completely forgot about them. I guess what I meant was: the quality Rackham\'s male humans have, IMO, increased. The ones I like to paint include alchemists, drunes and acheron and the only recent minis in those lines I have issues with are the drune lanyphs who are quite riddiculous.

It\'s the same as with the strip of Chronicles of the black moon. Better to put it in a quote:
