I hear you Lizcam!

While I wouldn\'t mind to visit London and see the hubub, I would LOVE to visit the countryside and the small towns of England.

I\'m small town without any capital letters!

Great pics!!

Ok, 1 pic of me that isn\'t completely horrible. My face is really red from walking and I\'m a bit wind-blown but at least in this one I don\'t look like a drowned rat. The pics from this trip have really motivated me to adjust my appearence so I feel better about myself.

That\'s great Liz :)

I\'ll be in London for a few days in the summer, any suggestions from your experiences there?

Cornish Pasties! I love them! Theres a little shop near the underground off the piccadilly line in covent garden that sells the best ones. Forget going out to dinner. Just pick up a couple of them, one sweet and one savory, and take them back to the room with you.

Also there are a couple of game shops in Piccadilly. Go see. One\'s a GW the other is the Ork\'s Nest.

A bit. It was down to my......bum but then I got a couple of inches cut off before I went. I f a few weeks I\'ll probably cut off a good 6\" of it just to keep it under control. It grows really fast.

Some nice pics there and even some of that elusive English sunshine. Glad you enjoyed our air country - maybe next time we could all get a chance to show you our favourite parts (ooer) - fish and chips by the sea perhaps?

Amen to that Roger,

Being a northerner living down south i just cant get fish and chips like i used to,

Glad you like sunny old London Liz,

What did you think to the people where they nice and friendly towards you,

Bignastyshark,
Iain.

Actually the people were friendly but then I work in a complaint department in a major hotel chain as a supervisor so I get the worst of the worst people on a daily basis. I\'ve learned how to handle difficult people and handled so many that my idea of friendly may be a bit off. As long as you aren\'t red in the face, swearing and shaking \"the finger of authority\" in my face I can pretty much deal with you.

Gee, I\'ve never been mugged in London, but maybe that\'s cause I stand 6\" taller than most Brits and 80lbs heavier? :drunk:

I was marginalized once as a local and I collided on the Train, he staggered off mumbling \"Bloody Americans\" to which I loudly proclaimed \"Hey, I\'m Canadian\" and so got a quick and truly remorseful apology. Some times it does pay to be a Canuck over a Yank.

I have been outside London but never to my ancestral home of Blackpool/Liverpool. Every time I would go to London my Great Uncle Charlie would come down to meet us rather than have us come up to visit him. He rather insisted on it for some reason that I never knew or will ever know now. Uncle Charlie was a right jolly chap, complete british stereotype with the rosy cheeks and nose, a bit plump, brought flowers and chocolates to my fiancee the time she came with me to London...

Anyway, thanks Liz for showing us pictures and I\'m quite glad to see you had a good time. :drunk:
