Dear All,

We are proud to announce you the launching of our website. The address: http://twotimes.free.fr the grooviest, funkiest, cheesiest, babyiest minis’ website ever. :D :D :D
Actually, this is the beta version, thus several parts are still empty but many stuff will be updated these next few weeks.
Unfortunately, there are still several bugs, this is why we recommend you to open the website with Internet Explorer rather than Mozilla Firefox….thanks for your comprehension.
Do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any question. Have a good visit!!

No problem when I viewed the site.
Still wish that Afghan Girl sculpt was going to be cast & sold. Superb piece of sculpture.

Hi everybody,

Nice to see you enjoyed our website.
This is our first one so we are still facing some difficulties with the codes, this is why it doesn\'t work that much with firefox but we\'ll try to fix it asap.
Regarding the english version, we will first add all the pictures (especially in the \"divers\" section that is totally empty for the moment) and than we will start to think about an english version.

Cheers
Pierre/Piew

I don\'t want to seem like a miserable git here, but the site is incredibly badly designed. This really takes away any pleasure in viewing the content.

There\'s tons of stuff I could go through, but here are just a few things to think about:

- An entry page isn\'t even a brilliant idea on Flash sites - on a basic html one it\'s completely unnecessary. Make the first page the homepage!
- The use of framesets is archaic and really should be avoided for a decent looking site.
- Styles embedded in the main page code and the table based layout makes your site completely backwards in terms of web standards.
- You have used too many images when there should be text instead. This reduces usability and also harms the search engine optimisation of the pages. The more text the better. Keep images for logos and actual pictures of miniatures. Also, add titles to the pages.
- Make it so when you click a link it goes straight to the section. I don\'t want to have to click again on a silly graphic to see the content.
- It\'s a site about minis right? Put one on the home page!

Sorry if that sounds negative but the site is really pretty poorly done.

I\'d recommend reading up on the following then having another go from scratch:

CSS (http://w3schools.com/css/default.asp for how to, http://www.csszengarden.com/ to see what can be done with it)
Web standards (try http://www.w3.org/)
Web usability (Jakob Nielsen knows what he\'s talking about - http://www.useit.com/)

Come on Lono... it\'s their first homepage you miserable git!

I rather have a decent functioning page like this then nothing at all. You can find your way on it and the content is good.

But sure you provide good feedback for MKII

Nice minis and wonderful sculpts, but I\'m going to second Lono I don\'t know all the technical stuff he was goin on about but the sight is rather busy it kinda hurts the eyes if that makes sense. I will say tho that if the site is to represent you then go for what ever floats your boat :) but personally if it is to showcase your sculpting / painting I would make that the focus and not a bunch of flashy pics.

Thanks for the comments especially you Lono for the technical details.
Actually I was in charge of the design of the website and I have to mention that this my first one. Romain and I hadn\'t any notion of webdesigning before (I only benefited from a webdesign seminar as part of my business studies). I worked with Dreamweaver 8 for Twotimes and I realised when I put the whole thing online that there was still bugs and stuff that did not work that much.

Regarding the graphics, entry page and text...I think there is a misunderstanding.
Romain and I are close friend since a while and miniatures are only a small part of our lifes...Even if Twotimes is largely devoted to this aspect of our hobbies, what would have been the interet to have another typical minis website?? Beeing quite anti-conformist we tried to go in an original way with unseriously graphic ambiance.

So other aspect of our hobby will soon follow in \"divers\" section and the whole site will be more coherent. As I said before...this is the beta version.

Thanks again for the comment...I will try to fix the bugs and improve the technical quality of the stuff.
