Been experimenting with golden tints on metallics lately:

Personally like the way they came out. Let me say the Vallejo alcohol-based metallics rock; I\'d never have been able to get the effect right using GW metallics (they would have been far too grainy).

Oh, and in case it isn\'t obvious, the blue highlights on the Paladin are painted on (very gentle tints of GW Sky Blue and GW Regal Blue).

Thankya kindly.

The second one is my favorite. The metallics are inspiring. I just got done with painting a mini in metallics which was my first in a LONG time. The face on him is very good too. I may just have to bid on it.

GW metallics can work well with a glaze medium, they turn out smooth too this way. Very nice metallics and nice touch with the colouration... i love to see gold painted this way:cool:

Nice! The gold looks great and as does the blue tints ... mind if I borrow that?

Good to see you standing up for non-non-metallic-metal-metals, EArkham.:D

Ooh yeah, those blue tints are getting stolen by me too. perfect for an Ork I\'m working on right now.

A close up of the paladains shield would be nice as the damage effect on it look really sweet.

Agreed...I know you were pimping the gold metalics but its the silver and blue on the sword that stand out the most.
