Okay, so I\'ve been using some spacemarines to practice techniques, and I just recently started a chrome one. I\'ve basically got it down, but there\'s some confusin\' parts to the bugger. I\'ve read as many SENMM articles as I get my grubby hands on, but I can\'t figure out his legs. I\'m sure most of you are familiar with space marine legs, and if y\' aren\'t, sorry, I don\'t have a digicam (soon to be remedied...yeah right... ) Anyways, his lower leg is such a confusin\' shape. How the hell do I paint it? It curves on way, curves another, then goes on a nice loop-d-loop. And for the spacemarines...errr..thigh, would the horizon line go vertical?
And on a completely different topic (really ) whats happened to the boring spacemathingy contest? Have I missed it?..........I have, haven\'t I?

I recently saw a spacemarine done in chrome, it sucked, the artist suffered from the same problem as you, so it turned out striped. I really dont know what you could do. I\'m not sure whether the contest ended in august or september, check the thread

search the subject Boring into Art or some such. As long as you get a September posting date you are in. There\'s a suggested title that I can\'t remember right now so check the thread.

I\'m pretty sure the horizon doesn\'t move, so its reflection wouldn\'t either. That means it should be level, even when his thigh is not.
I can\'t help you beyond that since I haven\'t done NMM yet.

Try going to this thread and read what I did to an unsupecting mini of mine. I know most people cringe when I suggest doing something so drastic. And I don\'t mean for you to enter this mini, but use it as a referance. Just clearing it up ahead of time so I don\'t get slammed, at least not for that part. lol Hope this helps.

Vincegamer is correct..

You do need a September date for posting the boring/art thingy, but i wouldn\'t let that worry you too much. The prize is likely to be either non-existantor not worth a f*art, and I an sure you would still get comments from other entrants on your marine, providing you reciprocated.

The suggested title for posting was \'VA Marine\' I think, but I would still advise you check the thread...

Hey, I spend all day on this when I have enough time, in my desperate attempt to become a member before the apocalypse! ahh...well....it\'ll come. I\'m almost finished, and the legs look like shite, so I\'m thinkin this pathetic attempt at chrome will be scrapped and/or will be scrapped... I checked the thread, and the end date is september, so I\'m just gonna forget it. Sorry, and thanks to anybody who helped me, and a pox on the rest! You know who you are....
