Pink foam pinning?

Hey CMoN. I just bought a pin vise and I started making large rock bases out of pink foam, and I obviously need to secure the figs to the base. But the superglue melts the foam, and I\'m not really sure how to securely attach the fig to the base. I tried sticking green stuff into the hole in the foam, because I know that when it dries it sticks. I just want to know if there\'s a better way. Thanks!

You can either coat the foam with a sealer in order to use another glue on top of that, or use something like no more nails or a multi purpose glue that won\'t melt it.

pva isn\'t the strongest of glues but it\'s still stronger than you think. especially on porous surfaces. sounds like it\'s your best option here

ooh, just thought, you could also use a glue gun

to be honest i wouldnt use pink foam for rocks the mini stands on because its not stable i would avise using cork for rock base less time consuming and look just as good even not better id use pink foam for smaller rocks around him then seal them with pva
u can get cork tiles from diy shops and art and craft shopes.
theres some good tutorials on cmon where they use cork tiles for rock

hope i helped

I\'ve been told pink foam isn\'t great cus primer will melt it, but I could be wrong - my memory sucks. I do know that primer melts blue foam... learned that the hard way...

If you paint it with a thinned down coat of PVA it won\'t melt when sprayed.
Also PVA will stick it nicly to wood or other pourous surfaces. If not hot glue gun...the heat might melt it though not sure on that one...
