As i have been using too much varnish before, i took these pictures before putting any varnish on the mini.

It\'s pretty good, quite characterful, and I like the flesh. On the other hand, I think
that the paint could do with some general thinning. The pants look slightly streaky, but you can combat that be dabbing on thinned paint, as opposed to brushing it. It\'s good overall, and hobbits rule so I gave ya a 6.5

I\'ll say this much, you pick the hardest mini\'s to start painting on! I\'ve seen this model IRL, unpainted, and it looks like a challenge.

Regarding the paint job, take it from the King of Goop, your mini is goopy. So I have said, and so it shall be. Not a problem, though, easy to fix by thinning down your paint. So a little thing like that is going to make your mini look sooo much better.

I also suggest painting the hair a bright red (that you used for the highlight) and then washing it with a darker red...then drybrush with the brighter red after you let the wash dry. Again, a simple little thing that will make the mini look soooo much better.

The shirt just doesn\'t look good. I\'m not sure what to tell you here. Looks like maybe you took drybrushing a little too far? Dunno.

But damn good for 4 short weeks of painting. The King of Goop gives you a commendation.

Nice job, but I agree with Ovus, you should really thin your paint. It makes the face look all bumpy and stuff
