I am trying to find a place on line where i can order plascard. Maybe my terminology is old but where can I get those little sheets of plastic that are used for converting?

Plasticard seems to bring up a few options...

I bought some from Antenociti's Workshop recently.... UK based though.

If you're really strapped for it and you don't need multiple thicknesses it's worth looking carefully at the plastics used in some food packaging, some of it is styrene.

Over here, it's most commonly used as interleaving between some pre-sliced cheeses (very thin, probably too thin to really be useful) as well as the containers for cream cheese.

Those signs at hardware stores - PRIVATE PROPERTY, KEEP OUT, BEWARE OF DOG, etc............... are made of styrene. Actually a good price for a sheet of styrene. For that fact, around here people put up signs on telephone poles all over for garage sales and after the event don't take them down. Freebies.

If you want to order it try Tower Hobbies. Do a search for Sheet Styrene - many different sizes, thicknesses, and styles (siding styles and or roof styles) - I'm waiting on some to arrive from them now.

There should be hobby amd model shops in Korea Id think..model building is big over there. First you have the terminology wrong, its Polystyrene or Styrene sheet plastic commonly referred to as Plasticard or plastic card in the UK and Europe.

As others mentioned your looking for brands like Evergreen, Plastruct or in Asia Tamiya has a large line of it.

Look for a model shop or train shop for it.

Before you do any of the above, drag out your local phonebook and look for a local plastics supplier. I found a company here in my town that sells 4x8 foot sheets of any kind of plastic you've ever heard of. (I guess they normally sell in bulk to sign shops and the like.)

I bought one sheet each of .010, .020, .030, and .060 for about 35 dollars total, and they even chopped it up into 2x4 pieces for free. I've been nibbling off of it for about 10 years.

Thanks a lot gentleman. I use to use plastructs when i lived in America. And I have tried to find it here in South Korea, but I can't. I noticed that where other Asian countries have an abundance of a product, Korea always comes up lacking. The wife and I went to the ‘poorer’ countries. Not my words, it’s what people here refer to other countries in Asia. And the ‘poorer’ countries have more stuff than Korea. There is one more shop I haven’t checked, and after that, I am going for he cottage cheese containers or signs. Thanks again.

Theres always the International Assistance Society also known as CMON, if all other options fail let me know what you are looking for it'd be relatively easy to get stuff together for you. (Not like I don't know the Address:wink: )

if you get stuck try ebay under plasticard but make sure it's matt, some of it is gloss lacquered and used for signs etc and no good for modelling as paint wont stick, hope that helps
