Plastic Scouts

I did these a fair few months ago after blagging some sprues early. The new Scouts are bloody great to be honest. Really nice to convert and lots of options and accessories on the sprue.

They aren\'t my greatest paint job ever but are what I consider a good gaming standard.

These are a very good gaming standard.

And a bit underated at the moment, but that should come up.

I\'m really digging the bases. That addition of the branches/trees really adds a bunch of depth to the character of the minis, thats always worth something to me.

Isn\'t amazing how such a very small area (the base) can set the scene, help create a mood, add continuity to seperate models, and a whole bunch of other things? :cool:lol

Good job.

I have a box of these now here too. I havent worked with them yet but I have to admit upon inspection I wasnt all that impressed. For starters they looked like the same feet poses as the metal figures and the heds look the same too. It lamost looked like they cut the metal figures up and made plastics out of them. I was hopeing for running legs too but there were none. Ill probably change my mind once working with them but untill then.

As for yours, nice job. Like Vike I like the bases the most.

Nice paint job. The flesh is good as is the camo. Are the bits on the base from the dryads set. Like em anyway. Voted.

The heads look very different to me to the old JG metal scouts. They are chunkier.

@ Jambot These are in this months Aus WD. Nice little squad :)

Cheers for the comments. Yup, these guys have a few conversions to them, like the Teleport Homer in the Sergeant\'s hand, the dude grabbing another ammo cartridge from his hip pouch and various other things.

The bases are indeed made with Dryad bits. I wasn\'t sure if they would work out but I think they turned out to be the best bit on them in the end.

I didn\'t know the WD article was going international either, thought it was just the UK. Cool!
