Plastic used in rum & bones

Gents,
I have a question on the material used for the rum & Bones minis. I am purely a collector/painter and have no intention of playing the game, but really like the minis. How do those of you who have the game judge the detail/casting of the minis? as good or at least close to resin? Not bendy, and can modlines be scraped/sanded?

I could not find any reviews specifically on the minis so....

Thanks!

The thin parts will bend if not stored properly, but not during regular use. It can easily be bent back using hot and then cold water. For a board game, the minis are extremely well cast and highly detailed. The mold lines can be scraped, I'm not planning to paint mine any time soon so I have not looked at how much mold lines there are, but on casual inspection it doesn't seem to be much.

If you are going to do high quality display painting for contests, they will probably not hold up. However, if you are painting for your own enjoyment, they will be more than good enough.

CMoN has been using similar plastic for several games now - I've painted a lot for Zombicide. The minis improve for every game; Zombicide S1 are okay, Rum and Bones is better and Blood Rage has minis as good as many wargames. I suggest you pick up one of the smaller sets and see if you like it.
