you talking about this one?
Not even close to the number you posted before, but your latest work...
****
OK: Where to begin:
your fist pic in the montage needs color correcting (looks like you are using a standard incandessent bulb? Way too yellow. Switch to Halogen bulbs or at least use Reveals.
Second, you don\'t have to post a pic of EVERY angle of the mini. Unless you are working on a particular feature (just mastered NMM or something), just pick the best angle (maybe 2) and post that.
Next, one light is just not enough. Look in at the portrait studio on the mall. They don\'t just use one light overhead. We are trying to replicate that in miniature. At least two lamps above and to the side of the camera to fill most of the shadows. One overhead to the rear to hide annoying shadows.
Finally, focus issues. You say you don\'t have a macro lens, so back the camera up. Take your best shot, then crop it. Digi pics are cheap. Take 10 or 20. Pick & choose. Crop away the parts that are not mini - we are not voting on your background.
Cannot stop - Backgrounds - (I know I said \"finally\" in the last paragraph). Get a blue white fade and use it. Medium gray works. TAB uses black to get great photos. If you cannot find one, email me (look across the bottom) and I\'ll send you a blue/white fade you can print. By arching a backdrop from the top to the front of your cube, you eliminate that ugly line from where the floor meets the wall.
OK?
Have fun, keep working and improve.
Someone else will be along soon to pick up where I left off.
