Plinth/base for Che

A friend of mine is a huge Che fan and so for Christmas I'm planning on painting the bust (link) from Andrea.

From the image it's stuck in a wooden base with pins which is not the finish I'm looking for.

Can anyone recommend a base/plinth for him? Or does anyone know if it comes with one?

Yeah, that's ugly as hell! And what's with that uneven stepped thing underneath?

My guess is it does come with a plinth as other busts in their range do also. If so it'll be square with a small foot; IMO theirs aren't up to much so even if it does come with one of the style I'm thinking I'd probably replace it with a centrally-mounted rod (I use polished metal if I think it'll suit the subject, or just painted flat black if I want it to sort of hide).
