PLog: Empire War Wagon

Well I\'ve haven\'t done much posting on the forums (looked mostly), so, inspired by my latest purchase, I though I might start...

I think I\'ll have this topic going to cover all my WIP type stuff.

As I said I made a sweet purchase yesterday - A GW Empire War Wagon:

Picked it up off Ebay for AUS$48.99 (a good deal I reckon - mint in box and all). Never collected Empire before, but I just loved this model as soon as I saw it.

So I should receive it in the post next week sometime - will chuck some pics up once I start assembling.

I\'m keen to hit a nice old school, bright, classic empire scheme on it. Maybe yellow and red like the box or a yellow and purple? I\'d be sweet to get some opinions!

Anyway I\'m rambling....stay tuned for pics!

Now this I am really excited to see some progress on. I am a big fan of the old school GW fantasy stuff.

How about a blue and red which I believe are the colors of Altdorf? Then either a white or yellow as the third accent color.

Yeh the old fantasy stuff is sweet - some a little too static, but others like this are great. Was it early 90\'s this stuff was around?

Also how\'s the \'Devastating War Machine of the Empire Army\' bit? mad.

Yeh blue red also sounds good - though I\'m a little hooked on the bright yellow at the moment. Still got a bit of thinking time I spose...

Yea I think it was early to mid 90\'s and I still remember seeing these regularly in the later part of the 90\'s.

Something about the old GW Empire stuff that\'s just much nicer than the new monkey men with skulls on everything crap that they put out now a days.

I think what ever color scheme you decide to go with on it, as long as you do a nice and clean paint job it will look great.

I\'ve got that steam tank somewhere around the house and the Volley. Would really like to see what you do with that war wagon.
