Just on eBay browsing for sleeping bags and read this:

Buffalo BigFace windshirt red&black ,excellent for climbing ,hillwalking or cycling these keep you warm no matter the weather conditions worn alone ,its a chest size 44 ,bought originally for the wife ,but she has expanded beyond fitting it ,some tiny holes by the zip all zips work gooduck happy bidding

Is that the P.C. way of saying your missus has ballooned slightly in the torso department!?
Or I wonder if she was watching as he was putting it up lol

funny but as an aside, if you\'re after a good sleeping bag and don\'t mind the bulk... buffalo are da bomb! some of the best quality kit you can get.

Already got the buffalo and as warm as it is it isn\'t going to keep me warm in Andorra in mid winter, plus its a good 1800grams. Maybe winter in Scotland but not 2000ft up.

We\'re looking at getting Tundra down bags for -30 temps. Quite expensive at £280 but does weigh in at 1400grams, and an 800 fill, most other down bags only have a 750 fill.

Seriously though, the measurement doesn\'t really tell you much - it\'s the cup size that\'s important. Two ladies could fit in the same shirt, one could be big and broad shouldered with a B cup and the other could be slim with a G cup.
