I never believe a film based on a Robert E. Howard character is coming out until it actually is in front of me, but this announcement should have fans hopeful for good things....

sweet!

We need some downright barbaric based movies.

As long as it doesn\'t turn into a \"beastmaster\" type movie, we\'d be doing well.

With the crap they have put out as Conan movies so far, nothing would surprise in terms of ways they could mess this up :)

It sounds like they are working from the story \"Worms of the Earth\" (one of my favorites by REH), but I am not sure that it can be padded out to a movie, so maybe they are going to patch together several stories.

Not trying to raise your Barbaric Ire, but I actually LIKED the first Conan movie....Of course, I realize now, after reading some REH that he was Conan in name only. But it was still a fun movie, and I love the part where he fights the bodybuilder guys at the end....

The 2nd one stunk so bad that I can still smell it...

Actually, I like the first one too, just not as a Conan movie :) Still makes for a great swords-and-sorcery flick though. I am kind of surprised they are making a Bran Mak Morn film though, not one of his better known characters. Maybe with the recent release by Del Rey of those stories they are hoping that will change.

Well, they could make a Kull movie, but that just might bring up memories of a certain video flick \"starring\" Kevin \"this ain\'t Jim Beam\" Sorbo :D

LOL - that movie is exactly why I am not going to get my hopes up too much (and yet I can\'t help but be a little hopeful that someday I will get to see a good film based on an REH character) about this one. The Kull stories are somber in tone, as are the Bran Mak Morn ones, and they still made that amazingly goofy and awful movie!

I\'d guess your eyes must have glazed over when you got to the making of Jane Austin\'s Pride and Prejudice and you couldn\'t read any further.:D
