Or the earliest one you have or still have pictures of, the point of this exercise is hopefully as a demonstration that no matter where you are on the path now we all started out at roughly the same place and maybe encourage the newer painters that all it takes is the decision to improve and the perseverance to keep going even if you're not that good yet. This is something that caught on in one of the painting groups on Facebook but i think it's a good demonstration.
So I'll go first, this isn't the first mini I painted but it does predate me joining here, it was also the first one I felt proud enough of at the time to take a picture and post on Facebook, I already had a basic grasp of layering and shading at this point but that's about it

And this is my latest, there's obviously a size difference but you can see a dramatic improvement, there's about 3.5 years between these minis

The point of this isn't to brag or anything but to show the improvement you can make if you stick with it, I have no artistic background, I did paint minis as a teen but probably a 20 year gap before I came back to it. Through lots of research, guidance and practice though I have been able to make this improvement. Hopefully more people will post to help demonstrate the point
