I'm lucky enough to have pretty chilled out in-laws. The bigger problem was the typical Japanese fake chapel wedding. What with my mum being catholic I had to ask the wedding place to skip the whole random-caucasian-dressed-as-priest part and do a more bespoke ceremony. (which they did, fair play to them.)
