There was this asshole named Erik K. a while back who bought someone\'s GD entry in Australia and kept entering it in various contests and getting caught.![]()
Heh, mistewr Kelso bought some of my minis ages ago and entered them into an origins comp. suffice to say he is banned from ever entering that, or any golden Demon comp ever again![]()
I wonder if it\'s ever happened where someone entered a painting contest only to be beaten by a mini he or she had painted that was entered by someone else.???Originally posted by Ogrebane
I agree I had that happen to me where someone won a painting comp with a mini I painted. Credit where credit is due. Go for it have a rant I\'m with you on that.
It would be a big deal if it was your work!Originally posted by Ghaffasa
What\'s the big deal? So what, let him post it and enjoy a rating he doesn\'t deserve. I don\'t care.

@minigrlll when are you going to do another paintathon. I loved the last one.

And I would argue that the posting should come down as soon as the auction is over. There\'s no need to post others\' work here, even to admire it. Start a forum thread titled \"holy shit, look at this\" or whatever, just don\'t post it for voting.Originally posted by pitynoman
The only way you should post someone\'s work(with full credit) is when a friend asks you to ebay something for them.

I get a call from GW Canada. Some little twit(his parents) bought my mini and won Young Bloods gold. You know who caught him -you! Coolmini-denizens contacted me and GW to thwart the little twit
Then Mr. Kelso contacted me to buy some of my minis and or possibly do a commission piece. He also bragged about winning a GD which was my clue that something was wrong.Usually if you paint to that level you don\'t need character commissions. So yes I think it is a big deal.

It doesn\'t happen all the time, but it does happen.People that enter painting comps are a relatively small community, most people do it for the challenge. To buy your way in would be meaningless because you still wouldn\'t have the skill. Also chances are you will be caught and banned for life.Originally posted by bayrodney
@pitynoman: I was just curious, wouldnt this happen all the time ( people buying someone elses mini\'s and putting it in a painting comp ). How could organises review that because i am sure this sort of cheating would be common.
