Posting question - joint effort, and pic sizes

Hello all!

I have just finished painting the Forgeworld Beastman with one of the other paintslaves, Mike... he painted the flesh and fur and i painted the rest.

The question i have is to do with picture size. The mini is huge about 8 inches tall, and quite wide too, so how large should i do the pics? I could do a 600pixel wide on of the front only, but then you are missing the back....

This is an occasion for off site hosting me thinks. Make it as wide as you can and with a front back and face view. It may be a little larger than usual file wise, but in this case is worth it.

I always prefer to see all of the shots at once rather than another entry for a picture of their bum or something

A vertical monatge is the only way Peter.
But a word about hosting offsite, It dies on dial up with big pictures.
It\'s a Photoshop \"Save for Web\" effort to get the file size right.


Oh and by the way, First Hammer warning of the year has just been issue to you.

It\'s a beaut piece of work definitley a 10.

I can\'t give you any advice about picture size or anything. But....

That is a grand bit of painting, you should be very happy!

And in case anyone is worrying that i might influence my own ranking with something that is not all my work - i\'ll create a new account \'slavetopaint\' or something like that ;) so dont worry :D

Very impressive mini. I\'d definitely go with the 600 pixel wide, vertical arrangement. To heck with the bandwidth... ;)

The vertical montage is probably the best route, but I\'d just like to chime in and say for a miniature this good, I wouldn\'t mind more than one submission. (one for the front, one for the back).

Very cool painting on a very cool model.

A vertical montage should work fine Peter, why not include a WFB Beastman in at least one of the pics for a scale comparison

I do find it a little disturbing that you\'ve apparently aquired slaves to help you with your painting ??? Doesn\'t exactly seem sporting to me :D But, hey! At least you\'re willing to give them partial credit. What more could they ask for lol

Teh verdigras on the belt buckle is really cool. Is that what you were talking about on the gloves of that tiny fellow you painted?? If so, that\'s really amazing considering what scale that baby was.

Anyways, really nice work. Definately a vertical arrangement. This is one mini I wouldn\'t mind seeing from every angle.

True, it\'s the submission of 4 pics of an unbased 4.0 mini that p*sses people off, not this caliber of work. Even I, typically scoring 6-7.5, know better than to post the same mini multiple times. It\'s just not worth the bandwidth. This is.

Excellent work.
Spot on pics how you have done them.
Once save for web is mastered you can achieve good quality large vertical montages.
