Ok I\'d like to add a question to this.. Are power swords a physical weapon or an energy weapon? I don\'t know what the official info is, but since power mauls/fists are physical...

A bit of both

It\'s a physical waepon, so when you turn it off, it\'s just like a normal sword, but when it\'s on it flows with energy allowing it to easily cleave through many tough substances.

I just ask because I painted all mine silvery, but I see so many on here painted like energy.. thought I was doing them wrong.

hey cool!

Just last week I made a little \'how-to\' about a frost-axe.

http://www.ironhalo.net/frostaxe.htm

Maybe that\'ll help? It\'s not like a glowy power weapon, but it\'s something I use a bit on Space Wolves. The page also has links to the runepriest I did using that kinda technique.

cheers, Rachel

Power weapons as described in the Inquisitor rulebook:
POWER WEAPONS
These weapons are surrounded by a disruptive force field that allows the user to slice through the thickest armour and lop off limbs with a single blow. They are highly prized, and are often a badge of office for senior Imperial servants.

As you can see, they are quite powerful if turned on. If turned off, they act like normal weapons.
