Primer problems

I think I\'ll look for some brush-on primer. Maybe there\'s some rustoleum stuff in the garage, but I\'m not sure. There\'s only one place that might have brush-on primer, but my visits there are few and far between, and I\'ve never noticed them carrying any. They don\'t carry vallejo paints... only Testors (which I don\'t like), Tamiya (which I haven\'t tried, except for one can of grey spray paint), and GW (which I still use). The paints have been no problem to me, and I got most of them during sales. It\'s just the primer that keeps bothering me. It is hot outside, but not as hot as it is during the day (~100*F).

I guess it\'ll just be lots of experimentation until I manage to use up the can or get it right. :p

I have never used Rustoleum.I used Krylon White Primer when I lived in Mobile. It worked in the high humidity of the port city. That alone earned my respect.lol

First: STOP BUYING GW\'S OVER-PRICED INFERIOR CRAP!!!:)

Second: Try Krylon spray primer. Its cheaper, and better quality.

Another thing you might try is paint on primer. I have grown to love it more than the aerosol cans.

How does the Krylon compare to Rustoleum? (If you\'ve ever tried it.)

Thanks Ebonbuddha!

Since we\'ve got some Rustoleum I\'ll give it a try and let you know how it works. Mobile is definitely higher in humidity than Atlanta, but we\'re still pretty bad here.

Also, I always think of using Krylon on plastic, which would be good on the resins, but I usually paint metal so hopefully the Rustoleum will be o.k.
