I\'m going on vacation tommorow so I wanted to bring stuff to paint. However, as I was primering stuff, I\'ve always just used GW primer but I dont have time to get any of that. Can anyone sugest a good black primer that I could get at my local hardware store?

The cheap stuff. Just make sure you get a bottom of Isopropanol (rubbing alcohol 91% preffered) to clean up any recesses that the primer gets globbed in, and some toothpicks, Q-tips.

Fast dry is better.

Black primers aren\'t that common... even GW\'s isn\'t technically primer!

About the most you could generally hope for is grey. Rustoleum make Painter\'s Touch, a primer a lot of miniaturists use and that\'s widely available from what I\'ve heard.

My personal favorite is not on the list, Duplicolor (Wal-Marx) automotive spray primer - comes in several colors: gray, red oxide (great for bears and other furry animals), white & black.

I love the stuff from the Armory. Black, white or grey. I\'ve switched to grey for almost everything now.
