Privateer Press minis...

I really love the style of their minis and I\'ve been trying to purchase a couple. Perhaps I\'m completely retarded but I\'ve been trying to order direct from their webstore and I can\'t seem to find their minis at all.

Can someone tell me where to buy them? And ya, I know...google and all that. But what I\'m looking for here is if I can\'t buy them from the source, I\'d like a veritable referral from you guys to a good source.

If memorey serves their site only sells goofy stuff some resin kits, shirts so on. You could hit up theWarStore.com or some place I\'m sure they carry em.

Seems a bit odd to me to have an online store where you sell everything except your main product :~(

glad to help and yeah they seem like the only company that doesn\'t sell their own mini line, I spose it\'s an attempt not to undermine their wholesale customers.

You can buy the minis direct from the website but you would have to order them component by component as they only sell bitz and not complete models. They prefer people to give money to the bricks and mortar and indy stores.

As Swordwind said they want you to support you local hobby and game store so they only sell limited edition type things and parts for conversions online. Everything else they would prefer you to support your local retailer.

Online stores like the Warstore do offer good mail order service and at a discount most of the time but isnt your local game shop. I can understand using a mailorder service if the miniatures you wish are not sold locally. But otherwise I would ask everyone when possible support your local retailer especially in tough economic times like it is right now in the USA, with out your partronage they will go out of business and then you will have nothing.In most cases what you save with a minimal discount, you pay back in postage anyways.

I agree and in fact I\'d prefer to buy from a local retailer as I can get em in my hands much faster that way and not have to pay for shipping.

Problem is, the only local retailer I have is GW in the local mall. I\'ve googled to find others and as hard as it is to believe in a city the size of Houston there doesn\'t appear to be any local retailers that sell the type of minis I like to paint. In fact, I believe there appears to be only one store in all of houston with the exception of the GWs that sells minis as a primary line at all and it is all historical.

Sooooo....If I don\'t want GW I have to go to the online retailers. If any of you live in or close to Houston and want to open a mini retailer....I\'ll be waiting exitedly for the doors to open and you\'ll have one dedicated customer in me!

I agree with ya there suporting your local shop is important, It sucks where I\'m at the only shops that carried minis other then GW stores are gone but even when they were around all they carried where GW products. I much preffer to beable to go into a store and see what I\'m buying something about just being able to hold the product and know for sure what I\'m getting.

If you go to the Privateer Press Forums and do a search of Houston in the Opponent Finder section, you\'ll find quite a few people that might be able to point you to a local game shop that carries the minis for you.
