just ordered some myself.....no expert on sculpting so anyone who\'s used it any advice would be great.......
I picked some up at gencon and messed around with it some. From what I\'ve done (mind I\'m no skilled sculptor or anything), I really like it. It stays soft a bit longer than greenstuff, but still cures quickly under a heat light. The color is light grey, and seems to me a lot easier to see what you\'re doing. It also seems to hold sharp details a bit easier. Finally it\'s packaged nicely with the 2 parts wrapped seperately, so no accidental mixing in the box.

And I still use Blu-tak...but no-one listens to me anyway..

I\'m no pro sculptor, either, but I used some on THIS mini, and I really like it.
It\'s softer than GS, as has been said, and it\'s really really easy to smooth down. Which is why I used it on the muscles. It dries hard enough to file to a sharp edge, like Brownstuff, too.
Qualities of GS (only better) and BS (only better?)... needless to say, I found my new sculpting medium.

This week (when all my stuff arrives), I am starting an 80% scratchbuilt 54mm mini for GD next year, and have ordered Magic Sculp as recommended by Adrian Bay (buy it at em4miniatures. I\'m now also overdrawn on my bank account, but that\'s been fixed :innocent: I\'d be grateful for any tips on Magic Sculp. If it turns out crap (it can\'t really be because Adrian uses it), I will try this ProCreate stuff :twisted:

for those interested it\'s made by Kraftmark there is some info on their website (all 3 pages of it) about curing and a couple of sculpts, the pics are a bit small tho

I\'ve been using MS for years Bill; My Inquistor was sculpted using it, although I\'m using a 60:40 mix of MS:GS these days. Don\'t forget you can smooth surfaces after it\'s cured with a sharp blade scraped across the surface, then sand it and polish it.
Think I\'ve still got 2lbs of the stuff to use up
Yeah Magic Sculpt has been my weapon of choice for quite a while (although I haven\'t been doing much actual sculpting, mostly gap filling and repairing of miscast details). I think it\'s very easy to work with, but I think I would need something a bit more firm to do real sculpting. Thus, I bought myself a pack of ProCreate to dabble with and I will also try to mix PC and MS to see how that will work out.
The thought of sculpting something scares me a bit, but I\'ll never get over it unless I take the plunge. Prepare to see some sculpts from me in 10 years or so! :duh: lol

Well, I ordered some pro-create as well but from Lance & Laser as it\'s cheaper there and I was hoping it would be here sooner. No idea if it\'s shipped or not...but been about 4 days and nothing so far
I\'m starting to sculpt more seriously now, and hoping for better results as I take my time.
I\'m using supersculpey regular mixed with some supersculpey firm.
Also use Apoxysculpt for some stuff, and green stuff mixed with apoxysculpt or supersculpey.
Now will add pro-create to the mix but I will try using it without mixing to see if I like it.
Unlike all the great stuff by others, I can\'t manage to use green stuff well

Since i\'ve decided my Actaeon will not be using Orion\'s body (waste of cash....the body just isn\'t big enough for the great stag\'s head, so will sculpt the body and maybe the head as well); will use pro-create for it.
