But I recently got introduced to COMIXOLOGY by a friend.

Seeing as I'm (really) old school I do prefer paper graphic novels but hey 21st century and all that so I hopped on board for Lady Mechanika.

Yesterday I found that volume 3 of Rat Queens is out in April.

So anyone else got a favourite series or two which isn't "Mainstream" DC or Marvel they want to 'Pimp'.

I used to really like the walking dead comics, though they are probably more mainstream since he TV show came out, sin city was good too but again a bit more well known since the movies came out, I'll be interested to send more suggestions, I've got a bit out of touch with comics since I moved to the ass end of Devonshire

Dr. Bob

but not THAT Dr. Bob
You might like Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples. Low by Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini is also quite good.

Though perhaps "mainstream", the recent run of Thor: God of Thunder drawn by Esad Ribic is worth checking out too.

I still like "The Maxx" from Sam Keith. Originally from MTV's oddities (the animated version covers about issues 1-12 of the 35 released). The original comic is pretty old, but they are doing a rerelase now with updated gfx.

Other then this (besides mangas that are a different story imho) I always collected quite a few based on (A)DnD, Warhammer(40K) and Aliens. They are not that much unique, but not mainstream either.

The Lady Mech cover is nice, probably one of the reasons I like the scale75 steamwars minis so much (they are close in design))

Some modern books that are really great reads:
- Lazarus (Image Comics) - TV Show in development
- Outcast (Image Comics) - TV Show in development
- Wytches (Image Comics) - Scott Snyder writing and Jock doing pencils. Amazing.
- Nailbiter (Image Comics) - Cool horror - early arcs at least.
- Ghosted (Image Comics) - Cool horror - early arcs at least
- Batman (DC New 52 - 2011 to now) - Scott Snyder writing - Greg Capullo on pencils... Really dark, gritty and awesome.

Happy reading!!

Dr. Bob

but not THAT Dr. Bob
A Lazarus TV show? That would be pretty awesome! Someone should make a Forever mini! ;)

RE: the show - yeah... Rucka confirmed with me a couple of weeks back that it was all still in dev, but could only be tight-lipped:
