I can no longer log into Coolmini from my main computer. I am on my laptop at the moment, so no problem there, or with my account. It was ok, then as I clicked on a mini to view(cant remember which one) the next screen was White, and I was no longer logged in :(

Can anyone suggest anything to try please?

when the screen goes white when trying to view a mini it means you ARE logged in. there must be a problem with the cookies from CMoN and the ones from the ads or some script in the ads causing problems from viewing the pages. its also possible to be an ISP problem as have been noticed on other sites with regards to new methods of DNS redirecting to the ISPs ad-supported error page where it cannot resolve the domain name.

clearing the cache and local files related to CMoN is about all you can do locally. if there is an error on the server the administration will have to locate and resolve it.

i am more likely to blame the ad banners that may contain malware, as Firefox noticed one from quantserve or contextweb trying to update my CMoN cookie. ???

Well, that depends on what colour scheme you have chosen in your preferences. For me, when I get a white background, it means I\'m no longer logged in.

i didn\'t mean background. \"the next screen was white\" sounds like blank with no elements in it rather than a background color other than the one chosen in user preferences.

like the page contents was just

<!doctype>
<html>
<head>
<title>CoolMiniOrNot - [subpage name]</title>
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>

with the ad banners at the top but possibly containing some conflicting scripts that interfere with any possible layers on the page. which would mean the quoted page code above would be about all the browser displays. may not be the ads, but i prefer to blame them because it is not that hard to have a shockwave or other active X ad object interefere with proper page displays. as these ad companies don\'t know what element names every customer may use, and they may have elements of the same name causing conflicts.

but your way is also a possibility, just one i haven\'t yet noticed here. probably because i use the default background color.

As Ritual has said, it\'s a prefernece thing. my chosen colour is Black, so when the background goes white, i\'m logged out!

I have blitzed everything, cookies, auto forms, history, and it has made no difference.

But as said it\'s only my main machine. My laptop and other machines are fine. This to me points to a problem with my machine, nothing else.????
