I use a varity of gloss sealers on my miniatures. I then use some of Testors Dull Coat spray to kill the shine from blindly so back down to a true matte finish. If you live in the US and you want a matte finish on mini\'s that you have already sprayed I\'d recommend getting a can of Dull Coat. You can find it at Michaels, most hobby shops and sometimes at Wal-mart.

I use...

Hi,

I use 1 coat of GW \'Ardcoat (better protection. but glossy), then 2 to 3 coats of Matte on it.

Dull coat works fine too.

I was told a spray of gloss coat, followed by several mattes is the best way overall, to protect paint on models, so why not :)

I\'ve given up varnishing mine at all, silly really I know I used to use GW matt varnish, i\'m guessing that is now called satin varnish, it does tend to give the minature a gloosy appearance. I think I need to sort myself out.

I couldn\'t find Testors Dullkote, so I grabbed a can of Lewiscraft Matte Varnish. It\'s smaller than either Armory or Citadel cans, but for $8 CAD, it was worth it, and it\'ll last a long time.
